Gail Finnie

Performing:
Saturday, June 15, 1:30 - 2 pm at Embassy Stage
Gail Finnie Rundlett is a singer-songwriter, drawing some of her repertoire from American traditional music. She plays the Appalachian dulcimer, guitar and ukulele. Her career in the Boston folk scene spans thirty-five years and she has four solo albums, along with two with her former a cappella group Taproot. She's a dynamic singer whose love for performing delights her audiences with infectious energy. She recently has started singing songs from the '30's and '40's, fulfilling a life-long dream to be a "singer with the band". She's accompanied by Woody Carpinella, a talented guitarist who she's played with many times over the last several years.
Woody Carpinella is a fine guitarist who can make you swoon with a pretty line, cry with the blues, savor a jazzy melody, and tap your feet to classic rock. After playing with bands all over the country in the '70's and '80's, he settled in the Boston area, playing at the Brighton Music Hall, the Burren and the City Winery. He's often called on to collaborate with local artists and his tasty guitar licks never disappoint!
