Music, Dancing and More! - Saturday, June 13 - 11AM to 3PM

The Waltham Riverfest Committee invites you to join us in celebrating Waltham's historic Charles River with song and dance, and the arts!

Performances will be taking place both in Waltham's Embassy Park on Moody Street and across the street at Cronin's Landing by Margarita's Restaurant.

  • 11AM-12PM - Moody Street String Band


    "Home grown" right here in Waltham by the banks of the Charles River in the early 90's. The Moody Street String Band play a lively mix of Celtic, Old Timey tunes and more. Being a fixture for many years at the spring Sheep Shearing Festival at the Waltham Gore Place and regulars at the Waltham Farmers Market.

    This group's primary instruments are fiddles, banjos, guitars, accordions and bass. Their music is toe-tapping good fun!!

    Gail Rundlett is one of the real treasures of Boston's thriving folk community. Blessed with a voice that exhibits crystalline purity, honesty and heart-touching soul, she is an endearing and entertaining performer. Gail plays guitar and four-string Appalachian dulcimer and draws her repertoire from both traditional and contemporary sources. For more information, go to

  • 2:00PM-3PM - Julian Rundlett

    Julian Rundlett is a local musician who is an original artist. He has been playing professionally for five years. He is self-taught on piano, sings and plays violin.

    He describes his music as a stylish mix of jazz, rock, pop. R&B, funk, and gospel. Julian plays with a number of local bands, churches and recording studios. Audiences often comment on Juian's stage presence and say it is obvious that music is where his heart and soul is.

    Taiko Drumming Demo/Performance



    Our aim is to make taiko a familiar art form to American audiences, and thereby encourage a greater appreciation and understanding of Asian American cultures. We believe the taiko has the power to bring people together in harmony and community. In the spirit of kumidaiko (ensemble drumming), we strive to drum as ONE voice.

    Isadora Duncan Dance Troupe


    The "Mother of Modern Dance", Isadora Duncan sought movements expressive of the human spirit and her technique glorifies natural movement, sources rhythmic and emotional links fundamental to all life forms, and traces dance to its sacred roots using mythological archetypes and ritual.

    Center Studio, under the direction of lineage holder Dicki Johnson Macy, celebrates this technique and its dancers engage in explorations of relationship to classical music; to peers; to the ancestral community; and to the natural world.

    Exciting Guinean Drumming and Dance featuring Alan Tauber, Fanta Keita and others!
